Ayurveda medicine is one of the oldest holistic medical systems in the world. It is based on the belief that health and well being depends on a delicate balance between body, mind and soul. Its main goal is to promote good health. In the US it is considered a form of 'complementary and alternative medicine' 'CAM'. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means 'life science'. Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5000 years ago. It stems from the ancient Vedic culture and is taught over many thousands of years. Ayurveda lays great emphasis on prevention and promotes the maintenance of health to balance a human's life, right thinking, diet and use of herbs. Knowledge of Ayurveda enables to understand how to balance the body, mind and consciousness. According to a human's own constitution and how to change the lifestyle to maintain balance.
Ayurveda was first mentioned in Vedic texts, believed to have existed for over 1200 years, about which the gods are said to have communicated this valuable life saving knowledge to sages and seers. He shared this knowledge orally until it was written down several years later. Ayurveda is also a derivative of the Tantric dynasty, both Tantra and Ayurveda deal with the energies of the universe. They believe that there are elements of the universe within each and that as the world is made up of earth, fire, water, air and ether. 400 AD. It is said that Ayurvedic texts were translated into Chinese literature and earlier spread methods. There are 3 types of dosha in Ayurveda. Those who practice Ayurveda believe that each person is made up of the five basic elements found in the universe: space, air, fire, water and earth. They combine three life forces or energies in the human body, called dosha. They control how your body works. Vata dosha (place, air), Pitta dosha (fire, water) And Kapa Dosha (Water, Earth). All have inherited a unique blend of the three doshas. But one is usually stronger than the others. Each one controls a different body function.
• Vata Dosha:-
Vata energy is associated with air, space and physical movement including breath and blood circulation. Vata energy is said to like those who are vibrant, creative, original thinkers. When out of balance, Vata types can tolerate joint pain, constipation, dry skin, anxiety and other diseases.• Pita Dosha:-
Pita energy express body's metabolic system. Pita energy is associated with fire and is believed to regulate the digestive and endocrine systems. People with pita energy are considered to be aggressive, intelligent and fast paced by nature. When pita energy is out of balance, ulcers, bloating, digestive problems, anger, heartburn, and arthritis can occur.• Kapha Dosha:-
Kapha energy make body's structure. Kapha energy is associated with earth and water it believed to control growth and strength, and associated with the chest, torso and back. The Kapha is considered strong and solid in constitution, and is generally quiet in nature.
